Department of Civil Engineering, LCIT Bilaspur (C.G.), successfully organized its 1st National Conference (NCISSWRMEP-2024) on November 12–13, 2024.The conference focused on “Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Water Resources Management and Environmental Protection in Civil Engineering.” The event brought together academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students from across the country. Technical sessions highlighted cutting-edge research, sustainable practices, and emerging environmental solutions. A significant highlight of the event was the official release of the Conference Proceedings. The platform encouraged knowledge exchange and collaborative discussions on water sustainability challenges. Participants presented innovative ideas addressing real-world environmental and infrastructure concerns. The conference reaffirmed LCIT’s commitment to research excellence and sustainable development in Civil Engineering.

Department of Civil Engineering, Lakhmi Chand Institute of Technology (LCIT), Bilaspur (C.G.), successfully organized a Two-Day National Workshop on Total Station.The workshop aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and technical skills in modern surveying techniques.Participants gained hands-on training on the operation, calibration, and applications of Total Station equipment.The program emphasized the importance of advanced surveying tools in infrastructure development and construction projects. Experts and faculty members guided students through real-time demonstrations and field-based learning activities.The workshop provided valuable exposure to industry-relevant technologies and professional practices.Students actively participated and gained confidence in handling modern surveying instruments.The initiative reflects LCIT’s commitment to skill-based learning and academic excellence in Civil Engineering education.

Their strategies toward international conflicts, economic sanctions, protectionism, foreign aid, and strategic alliances significantly influence global stability. As geopolitical tensions rise and climate change intensifies, the effectiveness of multilateral institutions in promoting cooperation is increasingly tested. Recent policy shifts highlight how economic diplomacy and foreign policy decisions by global powers can either strengthen international order or deepen global divisions. Understanding these dynamics is essential to evaluating whether today’s superpowers are fostering long-term peace or accelerating geopolitical fragmentation.

It includes concepts such as sustainable development, environmental protection, and restoration. Sustainable development is the attempt to attain equilibrium between development and the environment. However, deforestation, pollution, and global warming are consequences of the rapid rate of industrialization, urbanization, and population growth. The main problem is how to develop with reduced carbon footprint.The protection of the environment encompasses protecting the air, water, soil, and biodiversity of the earth. There are laws and agreements at the global level regarding environmental protection, but poor enforcement of these laws and lack of awareness and profit-oriented activities hinder the protection of the environment. Pollution from plastics, industries, and vehicles is widespread and continues to harm the environment and humans. Restoration is concerned with the rehabilitation of environments that have been harmed through reforestation, soil conservation, and cleaning of polluted water bodies. Despite the hope it offers, restoration takes time and requires funding and community support. In conclusion, developing a green environment necessitates robust policies, awareness, environmentally friendly practices, and global cooperation to create a healthy atmosphere for the present and coming generations.
