The Training and Placement Office at LCIT-Bilaspur plays a crucial role in facilitating the placement of students passing out from the institute. The office collaborates with leading organizations and institutes to set up student internships and training programs. It liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses, and other organizations to conduct campus interviews and select graduate and post-graduate students from all disciplines.
The Training and Placement Office provides the infrastructure to conduct group discussions, tests, and interviews. It also interacts with many industries in the country, and nearly 200 companies visit the campus to hold campus interviews. These industries come under the purview of core engineering industries, IT & IT-enabled services, manufacturing industries, consultancy firms, finance companies, management organizations, and R&D laboratories.
The placement season runs through the course of the year, starting from the last week of July through to March. The Training and Placement Office conduct pre-placement talks in this regard, and job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates, etc. are announced through the office. The office is assisted by a committee comprising representatives of students from the undergraduate and postgraduate engineering streams. The committee evolves a broad policy framework every year, and student members are closely co-opted in implementing these policy decisions.
