Admission in BE Courses
Admissions are conducted in compliance with the quota standards set by the State Government. At present, the State has fixed 75% for the ones who are residing within the State. Hence 75% Quota has been allotted for them. At all India level, it is 10%. Remaining 15% constitutes management quota.
For admission under State Quota, a candidate must qualify PET conducted by Professional Examination Board, Chhattisgarh (CGVYAPAM). Thereafter, candidates having domicile of Chhattisgrah State and are called for counseling by Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh and according to availability.
For admission under All India Quota, a candidate must qualify AIEEE conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. Thereafter, candidates are called for counseling by Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh and according to availability of the seats at the given point of time, admissions are allotted.
For admission under Management Quota, a candidate must qualify either in PET conducted by Professional Examination Board, Chhattisgarh (CGVYAPAM) or AIEEE conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. Advertisements/Notices will be placed in local/national newspapers and also on the official LCIT website for the purpose. This will be done after the declaration of the results of the entrance examinations. The final list of selected candidates under Management Quota will be finalized. It will be strictly based on the merit scored in the entrance examinations.
Lateral Entry Scheme
Candidates having a three years' diploma in the concerned discipline from AICTE recognized institutions are eligible for admission in respective branches directly at the Second year of a BE courses. 10% of the annual intake is reserved for such candidates. Advertisement/Notices in this effect shall be placed in the newspaper & displayed on the official website of LCIT in the month of June – July. Candidates admitted under this scheme have to qualify foundation courses like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as and when declared by the University.

LCIT intends to establish full-fleged in institution with strong tie up with major industrial complexes are Bhilai Steel Plant, NTPC, SEC Railway, Coal India Limited, SECL division for coal mining and operations, BALCO, Jindal Power & Steel, Jaiswal Nicco, Raipur Alloys, Lafarge Cement Plants, Grasim, ACC and saveral Sponge Iran Plants to name a few .
This association will directly translate into the advantage for LCIT student.
